The Schengen visa is issued to nationals of third countries listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2018/1806. This visa permits stays in the Schengen area of up to 90 days (in any 180-day period) for tourism, business, family visits, medical treatment, studies, non-work-related internships or voluntary activities of no more than 90 days, or for other non-profit-making activities. It also permits territorial and airport transit.
Iraqi citizens require a visa to cross the external borders of the Schengen Area or a transit visa to pass through the international transit areas of the airports of Member States.
The Schengen area covers 29 European countries with no border controls between them: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland.
The Schengen visa allows travel to any of the Schengen States and transit through their territory, but does not automatically grant entry to the Schengen area. Border authorities may deny entry if proof of the purpose and conditions of travel is not provided, or if the other entry conditions are not met (see section "Entry Conditions for Spain").

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 3 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used
previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:
- Taken against a white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
- Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
- Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
- Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such
items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
- Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
