Residence or stay visa for foreigners who make a significant capital investment, understood as:
- An initial investment of at least €2 million in Spanish government bonds; or €1 million in shares or equity interests in Spanish companies with real business activity, or in investment or venture capital funds established in Spain, or in bank deposits in Spanish financial institutions.
- The acquisition of real estate for a minimum amount of €500,000, free of encumbrances (if the investment is made by a married couple under a community property regime, one spouse can obtain a visa as an investor and the other spouse, a visa as a family member of an investor).
- A business project in Spain that is considered to be of general interest, based on the creation of jobs, the significant socioeconomic impact in the geographic area where the project is developed, or its significant contribution to scientific or technological innovation. In this case, a representative designated by the investor to manage the project can obtain the visa.
Investments made through a legal entity are permitted, provided that it is not headquartered in a tax haven, and provided that the investor holds, directly or indirectly, a majority of its voting rights and the power to appoint or remove a majority of the members of its governing body.
The following relatives of the investor may also obtain a visa:
- The spouse or common-law partner.
- Minor children and those of legal age who are financially dependent on the worker and who have not formed a family unit on their own.
- The worker's dependents.

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 3 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used
previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:
- Taken against a white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
- Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
- Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
- Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such
items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
- Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
